Temporary Road Closure 19th July 9-12noon Carlisle Half Marathon
A temporary road closure has been put in place to allow the Carlisle Half Marathon and 10K Running Event to take plae, which is expected to commence 19th July 2026 and anticipated to take 3 hours to complete.
Location:
- C1036 Durdar Road, Carlisle from its junction with the entrance to Carlisle Racecourse, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 5.8 km; and
- U1156 Durdar, from its junction with Durdar Road to its junction with the U1155; and
- U1155 Durdar, from its junction with the U1154, extending in an overall northerly direction to its junction with the C1014; and
- C1014 Durdar, from its junction with the A689, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with the C1017; and
- C1017 Buckabank, from its junction with the C1014 to its junction with Durdar Road; and
- U1153 Unthank, from its junction with Durdar Road, to its junction with the U1152; and
- U1152 Unthank, from its junction with the U1153 to its junction with the U1154; and
- U1154 Unthank, from its junction with the U1152, to its junction with the U1155.
Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and suitable alternative routes for vehicles will be signed and available as the race progresses.
NB. The restrictions will be in place and operated as rolling road closures which will move along as the race progresses, commencing at 0900 hours on Sunday 19 July 2026.
