Cumberland Council B5299 Dalston Village Carriageway Resurfacing Update

Cumberland Council has taken the decision to temporarily postpone a number of planned highways works while further assessments and reviews are undertaken.

The safety of our workforce, contractors and members of the public is our highest priority, and we take all health and safety matters extremely seriously.

As a precautionary measure, the affected works have been paused while the necessary assessments and reviews are carried out.  This is to ensure that all works continue to be delivered safely and in accordance with the appropriate standards.

We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience and would like to thank the residents and road users for their understanding and patience.  We will provide further updates as soon as we are in a position to do so.
