An information event will be held in Dalston to update residents on the Carlisle Southern Link Road project.

The Carlisle Southern Road Link (CSLR) project, spearheaded by Cumberland Council, is one of the most significant council ventures in northern England.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 11, from 9am to 8pm at Dalston Village Hall.

A council spokesman said: "We're inviting you to our next public information event for the Carlisle Southern Link Road project. Come along to get the latest updates, hear from the project team and main contractor Galliford Try, and ask any questions you may have.

"This is also an opportunity to review some of the additional features which will be included in the project to enhance the area such as ponds, parks, seating and lighting.

"This is a great opportunity to learn about upcoming milestones and how the project is progressing."
