An urgent temporary road closure has been put in place to allow Balfour Beatty to carry out urgent carriageway repair works.
This notice will be in force for a period not exceeding 5 days from 11th July 2022. It is expected that the Works will take 2 nights between the hours of 1900 & 0600.

Location: the entire circumference of the A595 Newby West Roundabout, Carlisle. as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for north east and south west bound vehicles will be made available via Peter Lane, Dalston Road, Caldewgate, Moorhouse Road and A689.
