An urgent road closure has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out urgent carriageway repair works.
The notice came into operation on 28 September and is expected to remain in place for approximately 5 days.
The location is the section of the C2048 (Cumdivock) from its junction with U1132 (East Curthwaite) extending in an easterly direction for a total distance of approximately 790 m to its junction with U1137 (Nook House).
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the C2048 (Cumdivock), B5299 (Dalston) and the U1132 (Cardew House).
