A temporary road closure has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out bridge repair works which are expected to commence 14th June 2021 and anticipated to take 1 week to complete.

The location is a section of the U1153 Sprunston Bridge, Dalston, from its junction with the U1152, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 400m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the U1153, C1036, U1154 and U1152.
