A temporary road closure has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out gully and kerbing works which are expected to commence 25th January 2021 and anticipated to take 5 days to complete.
The location is a section of the U1143 Gaitsgill from a point adjacent to 'Thornthwaite Close', extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 75m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U1143, U1146 and the C1017.
