An emergency road closure has been put in place due to the likelihood of danger as a result of unstable telegraph poles. 

The notice came into operation on 28 September 2020 and is expected to remain in place for approximately 3 days.

The location is a section of U1140 Raughton Head, Carlisle from its junction with C2049, extending in a south westerly direction for a total distance of approximately 1.4 km.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available via the unrestricted section of the U1140 and C2049.
