This picture of the 1927 team was taken at the Old Grammer School. It's a sobering thought that, when studied, the team is comprised of the very young and not-so-young, probably accounted for by the fact that it was taken just nine years after the Great War. Dalston, like so many other villages, having given up the flower of its youth and subsequently having lost a whole generation of players.
