| The Barn Dance and BBQ at Beech Holme Farm, Cardewlees, on Saturday 25th June went with a terrific swing. Tom and Jean Rawstron had very kindly lent their barn for the occasion which had been beautifully decorated by Dalston Flower Club, and completely transformed. 'Thrice Brewed' proved a great success and dancing went on all evening. The 'Woolly Jumper' proved to be a popular new dance. The catering was delicious and the chocolate fountain was extremely popular for 'puddings'. The bar, raffle and tombola were well supported and £1200 was raised towards St Michael's Development Fund. A tremendous amount of work went into this event, so thank you very much indeed to everyone for your contribution towards a lovely evening. |
