|In Case of Emergency|
|Although not strictly a 'news' item we thought that this idea was well worth passing on:
For an ICE idea that we hope you will never need Emergency services across the country are adopting and publicising a scheme to make it easier to contact the families of people caught up in disasters.
They are asking people to store emergency telephone contact numbers under the name ICE (In Case of Emergency) in the directory of their mobile phones. If you want to store more than one number, use ICE1, ICE2 etc. If you are unfortunate enough to be affected, emergency personnel will look for the ICE entry in your phone.
