Dalston Scarecrow Competition September 2005 - Of course, the weather always helps, and today was no exception, but behind every successful event is a terrific organiser. Judy Rickerby, virtually single handed, but with a great deal of support from Alan Dinning, organised Dalston's first Scarecrow Trail on 4th September.

Judy originally thought that she might do well to get half a dozen entries, but instead, having organised a School for Scarecrows in Church House, managed to achieve 19 exhibits on the day. A fantastic effort. The pictures below show just how good the 2005 exhibits turned out to be.
