The
organisation of the Dalston Festival has been
a labour of love. A vital part of that team has
been Judy Rickerby who, following a most successful
pilot
event last year, has almost single-handedly
persauded over 50 Dalstonians to build the scarecrows
you see on this page. Judy has quietly worked
to help everyone overcome their uncertainties,
finding the bits and pieces needed, arranging
scarecrow building tuition and then organising
the programme for the day. Without Judy Dalston
would not have had this most successful event.
While congratulations are due to everyone who
built and displayed a scarecrow, the biggest thankyou
must go to Judy and her team for making it possible. |

not register with the Dalston website? While we
have a database of some registered users, we would
like as many as possible in order to continue to
improve our service and provide exactly what you
want to see on the site. Have a look at our simple
