Broadband in Dalston Parish

The Dalston broadband pages have been created to keep you informed about the Connecting Cumbria project, broadband developments in and around Dalston and neighbouring parishes as well as news and views from the wider broadband world. These pages will be updated regularly and will contain links to external documents and resources.

Broadband Champions
The broadband champion for Dalston parish is Chris Drouet. He is also the Hub Coordinator for a number of local parishes. If you would like to assist Chris in his role as Broadband Champion for Dalston parish, then please email the webmaster with your name and telephone number and Chris will contact you.

Speed Test
Do you know what your broadband speed really is? While we know that speeds in the centre of Dalston are quite good, due to the proximity to the telephone exchange, we also know that speeds quickly fall off away from the centre of the village. It would be very helpful if you could check your own broadband speeds are regular intervals and fill-in our form so that we can build-up a picture of broadband performance in Dalston parish. We will not divulge any information relating to your premises either on this website or to any third party. The information will be used to establish patterns and general performance in different parts of the parish. This data will prove particularly valuable in the future when plans are drawn-up to provide a better service in and around Dalston parish. So, please run our speed test and record the data as often as you can. Thank you.
If you live in a neighbouring parish to Dalston such as Cummersdale, St Cuthbert's Without, Thursby, Orton and even beyond, please also complete our speed test as this information will prove very useful to Chris in his role as a Hub Coordinator.
